Features, workflows, and capabilities (PDF)
An impound account is a fund held by the lender to pay certain borrower obligations such as property taxes and insurance premiums, paid directly to the third party when due. The borrower contributes to this fund through each regular loan payment.
Bryt automates the full cycle: setting up accounts, defining collection schedules, prioritizing impound in the payment waterfall, and recording every vendor disbursement. Every impound account integrates directly into the loan payment schedule, documentation, and accounting register.
Add as many impound accounts as a loan requires. Beyond taxes and insurance, any third-party obligation the lender pays on behalf of the borrower can be tracked.
Impound is collected before principal and interest by default. Users can override the priority on a per-payment basis when the situation requires it.
Every impound transaction is recorded with double-entry accounting. The Bryt register includes all entries with no manual ledger maintenance required.
